Ooh, I love that sound.

Can you hear it?

I know it doesn’t sound the same to everyone…

Sometimes it is a subtle “ding”

For others it is a loud “ring”

It is one of the most important sounds in your business…

It should help you prioritize your time.

Your actions should be leading you toward it.

What does it sound like to me?

It’s a simple, “cha-ching.”

That’s right.

It’s your cash register ringing.

You have a finite amount of time in your business.

You are busy as hell.

And you need to prioritize the things that make the cash register ring.

What will keep your business moving up?

Prioritize it.

Here is a tip (almost everyone gets this wrong):

Delivery of the thing you just sold doesn’t make the register ring…it already rung.

It needs to be done.

It is important.

But it isn’t the most important thing in your business.

I always pose a challenge to my clients.

They need to have one lunch or coffee meeting with a referral partner or potential client…

EVERY. SINGLE. WEEK.

And that is at a minimum.

For some clients, I make them do it three times a week.

I crack that whip, baby!

So, how do you do this?

Don’t tell me you don’t have time.

When it comes to managing time, the first things to go in the calendar are the most important.

You need to save room for those priorities because they are the crème de la crème.

They get the first pick.

Those meetings lead to sales.

And you need those.

Yes, you need the other things on your calendar too, but they are secondary.

If it makes the register ring, then on the calendar…it’s king.

(Well…queen perhaps…but that didn’t make my rhyming point.)
