How to Find the Right Coach for You

I love what I do – and I’m damn good at it.

But just because I’m an accomplished strategist and business coach doesn’t mean that I’m the right business coach for you.

I’m not for everybody. I’m incredibly picky about who I work with because getting the results you want means getting the support you need – and that means finding the coach who is uniquely positioned to deliver superlative results for YOU.

What You Need to Know Before You Hire a Coach

To start with, you need to get clear about where you are right now, where you want to go, and what you need to get there.

What are your biggest challenges?

Where do you need more support?

What is your end goal?

These questions can be difficult to grapple with, but they’re essential to finding the coach that’s right for you and your business.

Do you need a marketing coach to help you dial in your marketing plans and strategies to boost sales and increase ROI?

Are you looking for a financial coach to align your numbers with sustainable money management practices and fiscal growth?

Is it time to invest in team coaching to empower your team and create a culture of inspiration, growth, and belonging?

Are you looking for an executive coach to uplevel your leadership and achieve your objectives?

Or a business coach who will help you and your business to grow into the bigger picture, empowering you to show up more fully while teaching you to really understand the nuts and bolts of your business so that you can confidently claim your role as the badass CEO and visionary leader that you aspire to be?

There are tons of coaches out there. Finding the right one requires getting granular about the experience, support, and results you want.

Get Detailed About Your Expectations

Setting clear expectations around the kind of support you need, the coaching experience you want to have, and the results you want to see is essential to finding the right coach for you.

Are you looking for a prescribed, step-by-step framework to follow?

Or do you want a coach who will customize their approach to provide tools, resources, and guidance based on your unique needs, challenges, and opportunities?

Do you need the community of a group coaching experience or personalized, one-on-one support?

Are you looking for a short-term engagement or are you ready to make a long-term investment in your personal and professional growth?

Crucial Questions to Ask Before You Hire a Coach

Once you know what kind of coaching you’re looking for, it’s time to explore who you want to work with and start asking some strategic questions.

1. What kind of results are they most confident in creating?

2. What kind of results have they produced for their clients?

3. What problems do their clients bring into this work? What have they achieved at the end of the engagement?

4. After working together, what goals are their clients achieving year over year? What results are they enjoying?

5. What are their methods? What actually happens when you work together? What does it look like?

I know, it’s a lot to consider, but that’s the point.

Choosing a coach is an investment in your business – and your future.

And it can be a lot like buying a house. You go into it with a budget in mind and compromises you’re willing to make, but then you find your dream house.

You fall in love with the spacious kitchen, the ground floor laundry room, and the way the sunlight pours in through the windows – but it costs more than you bargained for.

Suddenly you’re reconsidering your budget and where you can make adjustments because that dream house feels like home.

Just like your dream home, an accomplished coach will come with a price tag that reflects their experience, the value they offer their clients, and the magic sauce that they bring to the table.

The right coach for you will be committed to making sure that what you need is aligned with the results they deliver – and they’ll be happy to answer your questions.

These are the results I deliver for my Catapult clients:

87% of my clients double their revenue AND profit margins within a year of working with me–and those numbers continue to climb year after year.

92% of my clients work 30% less–and many of them take their first work-free vacation since starting their business.

99% of my clients report being more satisfied with life than ever before.

Curious about what kind of success we could create together?

The kind that empowers you to reconnect with your vision and shift from busy business owner to badass CEO so that you can fall back in love with your company, make more money, reclaim your time, and actually enjoy life beyond your business.
If you’re ready to make the investment and do the work, send me a message and tell me what results you want to see in your business. Let’s find out if we would make a good team.
